New to Abu Dhabi and clueless about where to take my C43 for its first service here
Moved over from Dubai about six weeks ago and my 2019 C43 is flashing that service reminder at me every time I start it up now so I guess it’s time to figure out the local Mercedes indie scene here instead of just relying on my old guy in Al Quoz who I’m definitely going to miss. The whole Mussafah area is like a maze to me still and every other garage claims they specialize in German cars but half of them look like they’d be just as comfortable changing the oil on a Hilux and calling it a day. I was scrolling through some options online last night and came across a site that made me want to Check out full service details but honestly I’ve been burned before by places that look super professional in photos and then you show up and it’s just two guys and a pit in the back of an industrial zone. I’m really just looking for somewhere that uses the proper 229.5 oil and won’t try to convince me I need a transmission flush at forty thousand kilometers like some of these shops love to suggest. If anyone’s got a spot they’ve been using for a while that actually knows the difference between the M276 and the newer mild hybrid setups I’d seriously owe you a karak.
